The Assignment for this week is to complete an “Annotated Bibliography Summary” paper. An annotated bibliography is an organized list of sources (references cited), such as books journals, newspapers, magazines, reliable Web Pages, etc., each of which is followed by an annotation or description of each item. Please foow the following instructions (instructions also can be found in the course syllabus):

• The purpose of this assignment is to encourage the students to review the literature relevant to nursing leadership and management and analyze it in relation to the contemporary practice environment.
• The student will review a minimum of five nursing sources and annotate them.
• The sources must be nursing sources and recent (within the last 5 years if nursing journal article)
• Use the “annotated Bibliography” grading criteria to guide you in writing your paper (paper guide is in the table below).

Example of an annotated bibliography: Krejci, J.W. (1999). Changing roles in nursing. This new practice environment challenges many of the assumptions that have created a statebased system of nurse practice acts and licensing. In response to this challenge, the creation of a new mechanism for licensure and practice, the interstate compact, is developing. This represents a new era for nursing practice.
