I need to pick a subject related to quality improvement in nursingusing the PICOT format. I chose nursing burnout for my research. But I’m stuck on how to write the question I’m researching. I started with “how does nursing affect patient satisfaction.” My interventions would decrease nurse burnout, and the results would be to see how patient satisfaction scores are impacted. But I think this may be too broad because so many factors influence patient satisfaction and nurse burnout. Using “how can nursing burnout be decreased,” it is easier to develop interventions. However, I don’t know if that counts as quality improvement. Any ideas for working my research question to make it easier to follow the PICOT format would be appreciated. Thank you.
