However, she recently had her cholesterol level checked at her church’s health fair where she was told that it exceeded the normal value. As directed, she made an appointment with her healthcare provider for a follow-up. During the office visit, Belinda’s states she has type II Diabetes that is diet controlled. She does not take any over the counter or prescription medications. Her vital signs are within normal limits, except her blood pressure is elevated (142/90 mmHg).
